Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Free the Bookmarks app, created and provided by Ricardo V. Del Frari. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

Free the Bookmarks is intended for personal use and is designed to help you track your reading progress, goals, and statistics. Your use of the app must comply with all applicable local laws, and you agree not to misuse the app in any way, including attempting to reverse-engineer it, interfere with its functionality, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Some features of Free the Bookmarks may require the use of iCloud. The app stores your reading data using Apple’s CloudKit service. Most of your information is saved in your personal, private iCloud database and can only be accessed by you through your Apple ID. I cannot access this private data. The app may also store non-personal and anonymous information in the public CloudKit database, but this information does not identify you and cannot be linked back to any individual user.

Free the Bookmarks offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock premium features. All payments are handled through your Apple ID, and Apple manages billing, renewals, and charges. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings at any time. Because Apple processes all payments, I cannot view your payment information or issue refunds. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you must request it directly from Apple.

All content and materials included in Free the Bookmarks—such as graphics, icons, text, characters, artwork, and code—are the property of the developer and are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reuse any part of the app without written permission.

Free the Bookmarks is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. While I aim to provide a stable and enjoyable experience, I cannot guarantee that the app will always operate without errors, that iCloud syncing will always function correctly, or that Apple’s services will be available at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not responsible for any losses, data issues, device problems, interruptions, or other damages that may result from your use of the app. Your use of Free the Bookmarks is entirely at your own risk.

You may stop using the app at any time. I may also update, modify, or discontinue parts of the app or the entire service without prior notice. If these Terms change in the future, the “Last updated” date will be modified, and continued use of the app means you accept those changes.
