Ricardo V. Del Frari built the Free the Bookmarks app as a free app with optional in-app subscriptions. Throughout this Privacy Policy, Free the Bookmarks and its related features are referred to as the “Services”. The Services are provided for a fee and are intended to be used as they are.

 

This page explains how information is handled when you use the Services. I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. I encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically so you remain informed about how your information is treated.

 

Free the Bookmarks does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information. The app does not use cookies, tracking tools, analytics, or any third-party SDKs. I do not receive any information about who uses the app, and no data is sent to servers owned or controlled by me.

 

All information created while using the app is stored through Apple’s iCloud service using CloudKit. Most of your data—such as the books you add, your reading progress, your daily goals, the bookmarks you unlock, and your yearly reading statistics—is saved in your private iCloud database. This information can only be accessed by you and is tied to your Apple ID. I cannot access this private iCloud data in any way.

 

Some non-personal and anonymous information may be stored in the public CloudKit database. This may include general usage statistics or other non-identifiable information that helps improve how the app works. Although I may be able to view public CloudKit data for development or app-quality purposes, this information never contains personal data and cannot be linked back to any individual user.

 

Free the Bookmarks also offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions. All payments, renewals, and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings. I do not have access to your payment details, nor can I issue refunds, as all billing matters are managed by Apple.

 

Because the app does not collect personal information, it is suitable for users of all ages. All data stored in iCloud is protected by Apple’s security systems, and no information leaves Apple’s ecosystem.
